We assess the property against the Building Act 1993 and the specific Australian Standard for the element in question.

A standard report lists many items across the whole house. An investigation focuses on a single failure to establish the cause, which is essential when the other party disputes responsibility rather than the issue itself.
It is written so it could be, but the tribunal requires an expert witness report to its practice note, which we prepare as a separate document. Most disputes settle early because a clear investigation removes the dispute over facts.
